Sirius got away from Azkaban, only to find an irritated Dora waiting at Remus's place--she distracted the Dementors, and is quite annoyed that he didn't tell her what he was doing ahead of time so she wouldn't have had to plan her interference on the fly. Once she gets him to realize that she and Remus are on his side, the three of them decide that they will get the Brodies to Sirius's hideout in Brazil, taking them by Side-Along Apparition as soon as Fiona is freed (or, if she's not freed, as soon as they break her out of captivity, though Dora has convinced them to give the Wizengamot a chance).

I have come out of lurker-domme after a long time to make a request.
Does anyone here know of any good Zutara/Mai fics?
I mean, either Zuko cheating on Mai with Katara then ends with Zutara, or Maiko that eventually becomes Zutara?
I've scowered the web for some really good ones, but haven't had much luck in finding many.

Hi, people! I am happy. It's kind of ridiculous for me to be so happy over a day that was, by other people's standards, pretty normal. but I am! \o/
The Cousins came over for dinner. We had chicken nuggets, corn, mashed potatoes and green beans (oh, and rolls), and Kara made lemon bars for dessert. Her lemon bars? Best ever in the world, okay. and I was so PARANOID that someone would haaaate the chicken nuggets, because I have been calling them THE BEST EVER IN THE WORLD for years now and it would suck for people to.. dislike them. but everyone liked them! Ben texted my brother (and sent him a PICTURE of them, bwah) to make him jealous. (My brother answered, in reply to the picture: I have never wanted to eat my phone before now.)
Lots of food was eaten, egg nog was.. drank? drunk? Breena dug my Snoopy Christmas decoration I have in my bathroom. ;P Destini flopped onto the floor to read, kids went back and forth to my room to watch Peter Pan for some reason. Mingo hid the whole time, much to their disappointment, but Delaney found him under my parents' bedside table and had a fright. hee. They all liked Benton and forced me to drag him out about four times. There was Christmas music and tonnnnns of laughter, they borrowed three DVDs from me, and Kailin said she wants to spend the night sometime. Oh, and at one point Ben used the phrase "it doesn't get bigger if you rub it", and had to leave the room because me, my parents, and Kara were laughing at him. Tra la la. :D
We have plans for this coming friday--Tessa's belated ACTUAL birthday PARTY at a skating rink, so I get to roller skate for the second time in my life. :D! And then on December 4th is a Tastefully Simple party at their house, which: OMG YAY. sooooo fucking yummy. and then sometime I forget ;P we go over there for dinner!
I am so glad we moved here. <3
So yeah. I'm happy. :D

Happy weekend, all! Actually, I'm stuck at the office tomorrow, but today was nice, so I'll take it. Anyway, I'm still working my way through Mercedes Lackey because why not. I read the first two Winds books, then remembered the third was boring (as I recall, half the chapters were the evil characters musing about how evil they are and the other half were people whining about lifebonding - more on which, stay tuned). So then I read The Black Gryphon, about the Mage Wars, which I still think is one of her better books because the gryphons are awesome, but oh god, you guys, (a) the angst, (b) the non-awesome-gryphon main character is basically Counselor Troi from Star Trek except he sleeps with clients outside of the Holodeck too, and (c) the angst. Now I've bought her new Valdemar novel, Foundation, which I'm excited about even though I skipped the last couple because as far as I can tell it's her only past fill-in book that doesn't have a pre-ordained ending based on what she had told you in the other present time-line books. So yay that. Maybe nobody will tragically die for their lifebonded either (hahahah, yeah right). I'll happily provide a plot summary for anyone who wants to save their money/angst circuitry but has residual interest in knowing what happens.
For now, though, let's finish off our Winds of Fate summary. You all remember where we left off. To recap:
!) Princess Elspeth is not feeling special enough.
2) Darkwind is emo.
3) The people of Valdemar are easily mindwipeable morons.
Let's keep all those plot points in mind as we move forward.

And that is where we end, all poised for Darkwind to assist Elspeth with plot point number #1 and Elspeth to assist Darkwind with plot point #2 and, in fact, book two of this series devotes most of its length to exactly that. Awww.

I'm having an absolute blast doing nanowrimo this year. Probably because I haven't written any fiction in ages, and I'm remembering how much fun it is.
Next year I am hoping to go into this with a team of other people over the age of 25 with jobs. It's kind of disheartening seeing high school students and undergrads pass your day 14 word count on day 1. I would also like to have an IRC channel or other form of chat where this group of adults can come and go and bitch about their writing. Maybe also a closed community for posting the day's work and soliciting a little feedback. I'd be into that.
Still: in spite of the relatively solitariness of my nanowrimo, it's still pretty fun.
I'm flying to washington on Monday, and plan to continue my writing in the airport on my netbook.

Why can't I manage to be on vacation on all my jobs instead of only one? *sigh* Oh, well, at least my life it's not as hetic as usual!
So, my review of this week's series!
( Glee - SPOILERS )
As for monday's shows - which I could only watch yesterday due to the blackout we experienced in Brazil on tuestday - I liked TBBT even though it was not their best, and also liked Castle. As for HIMYM...( spoilers )
OH, also, watched the second season premiere of Legend of the Seeker. As fun and as entertaining as the first season, but nothing espetacular or out of the ordinary. :)

Yesterday I went to The Cousins' to see Kailin in her school band. Turns out it was for a Veteran's Day thing, which was very nice, and the band did awesomely. Afterwards we had cupcakes and stuff for Ben and Tessa's birthday, which was the day before. Tessa got a cell and now she won't stop texting me.. XD Which is how Kailin was when SHE got HER phone. soon enough they'll bore of me. Kailin asked if I could spend the night as I was leaving. heh.
They're all coming over for dinner on sunday. chicken nugget time! \o/ (my mom makes the best ever, so be jealous. unless you hate or don't eat chicken, in which case, don't.)
Todaaaaay I put up two Christmas trees. I still want a strand of lights in my room. but yay trees! (let us hope that Mingo the Evil does not climb it this year..) oh, uh, one was my grandma's BFF's tree, the other was ours. I was supposed to clean the cage today, but.. it's late.. so I guess I'll do it tomorrow. Exciting, no?
also, I asked The Cousins if they would watch Benton for me at the end of March when we fly to California to be there when Ruth has the baby. so that'll be nerve wracking. :P I dunno WHAT we're gonna do about Mingo.. they can't watch him because they have a cat already, but they've got four hamsters so they're used to rodents. Kailin'll probably hate me after I give her instructions, though. heh.
in other awesome news, I have roommates for ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) bitchinparty!! :D :D :D our room shall be the Hughiest, okay.
